1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account registration details (email address, password, display name, date of birth, gender)
• Profile information (profile photo, bio, country/region)
• Content you create and share (messages, photos, videos, posts, comments)
• Purchase information when you buy virtual currency through Google Play. Payment details are processed by Google Play, not by LemonChat.
• Feedback, support requests, and communications you send to us

Information collected automatically:

• Device information
• Network information
• Adjust advertising identifier (ADID) for attribution and event reporting
• Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) for delivering notifications

Permissions we request and why:

• Camera: Used for video calls.
• Microphone: Used for audio during video and voice calls.
• Location: Used to show your general region to other users and to match you with nearby people. You may deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, operate, and improve our services
• Personalize your experience and recommend content
• Process transactions and manage virtual currency
• Enable communication features (chat, video calls, moments)
• Send service notifications, updates, and promotional messages (you may opt out)
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or illegal activity
• Enforce our Terms of Service and other policies
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information and do not actively share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Information may be disclosed only in limited situations:

• With other users: Information you choose to show publicly, such as your display name, avatar, bio, and country, may be visible as part of the app's social features.
• Google Play payments: Purchases of virtual currency are processed by Google Play. LemonChat receives purchase status information needed to deliver Coins, but we do not receive your full payment card or bank account details.
• Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information if required by law or when necessary to protect LemonChat, our users, or others from fraud, abuse, or security risks.

4. Account Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. To request account deletion:

• Open the app → go to Settings → tap Delete Account, or
• Send a deletion request to support@lemonchat.app with the email address associated with your account.

Upon receiving your request, we will:

• Permanently delete your profile information, messages, moments, photos, and videos.
• Remove your account from all public-facing features (search, rankings, chat lists).
• Delete or anonymize all personal data within 30 days.
• Cancel any active subscriptions (purchased coins are non-refundable).

Some data may be retained beyond 30 days only where required by law or to resolve ongoing disputes or fraud investigations.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will process the deletion as described in Section 4 above.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service.
• Objection: Object to certain types of data processing.
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

LemonChat is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a person under 18, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.

LemonChat may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

We may send you push notifications about new messages, matches, or app updates. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the app at any time.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through in-app notices or by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of LemonChat after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
